Do It Yourself Doodler
I’m a little late to this party, but I’ve come across this project a couple of times and I love it so much I have to share.
Illustrator David Jablow is one clever guy. He has the kind of boundless creativity that makes all other creative people green with envy. He is the author of the Do It Yourself Doodler Project. Sounds mildly dirty right? Well, it kinda is.
It all started when someone gave him a 60’s era notepad with the partially drawn outline of a seemingly naked woman on each page. Next to the woman was written “Do It Yourself Doodler”. So Jablow filled in the blanks. The possibilities are endless, and I have a huge amount of respect not only for his illustration skill, but also for his creativity – there is nothing harder than doing the same thing over and over again in a completely different way.
The series is pretty amazing, and now the whole thing is available as a book.
